Sunderland has firmly stated that midfielder Granit Xhaka is not for sale, despite reports indicating that Chelsea has entered discussions with the player's representatives. The 33-year-old Swiss international is under contract with Sunderland until 2028 and played a pivotal role in the club's successful seventh-place finish in the Premier League<\/a> last season.<\/p>\n

Xhaka's camp has reportedly been in contact with Chelsea<\/a>, although the club has yet to confirm these discussions. The midfielder is believed to be open to a reunion with former manager Xabi Alonso, with whom he won the Bundesliga title at Bayer Leverkusen in 2024.<\/p>\n
