Passengers have experienced delays of up to six hours as stormy weather impacts air travel across the UK.<\/p>\n<p>According to flight tracking service FlightAware, a total of 340 flights at <a href=\"https:\/\/heibola.com\/en\/tag\/heathrow\/\" data-ailt=\"1\">Heathrow<\/a> and 320 at Gatwick were delayed on Saturday. The UK&#039;s air traffic control service, NATS, indicated that weather disruptions are expected to persist throughout the day due to forecasted severe weather across southeastern England.<\/p>\n<p>Gatwick officials reported that temporary air traffic control restrictions were implemented in response to the ongoing thunderstorms. Easyjet acknowledged the situation, stating that it had to preemptively cancel some flights and was working to minimize the impact on passengers.<\/p>\n<p>The airline is notifying affected travelers about their options for rebooking or receiving refunds, as well as providing hotel accommodations and meals where necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Passengers have expressed frustration on social media regarding the delays. One individual reported that her daughter had been stuck on an Easyjet flight at Gatwick for four hours before it was ultimately cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>Another passenger, Cameron Ashwin, mentioned that he had been grounded on a British Airways flight since just after 06:00 and was not expected to depart until midday.<\/p>\n<p>Eurocontrol noted that Heathrow and Gatwick are currently the only UK airports experiencing heavy delays related to the thunderstorms.
